I use Cross Hands as a convenient way to break up the 108 form into 3 sections.
So after a while we can fall into a habit of thinking that Cross Hands is but a section divider but nothing could be further from the truth.
If anything, Cross Hands has its usefulness in application. But its not about techniques alone. In fact, Cross Hands is about how to change. You can think of it like coming to a real cross road where you can go forward, left, right or backwards.
So when you apply this idea you can use Cross Hands to open door to enter into opponent’s center. You can also use Cross Hands in conjunction with Cloud Hands to cause the opponent’s arms to be tied up.
Its quite a flexible tool and if you play with it a lot you will find more ways to use it.
