One of the things that will change in The Ip Man Question, 2nd Edition are the applications in the chapter The Big Picture.
I have culled the pictures from a video I took in 2012 when I was explaining to my Taiji student what my understanding of the Wing Chun of Ip Man was about based on my research and practice. But its not something that I made up. In fact, you can also see the principles discussed in TIMQ illustrated in one of the chapters in the documentary Wing Chun from Emptymind Films.
Also, in the 2nd Edition are a series of pictures that I captured from the clear footage of Ip Man that Master Samuel Kwok released. The principles in TIMQ can be clearly seen in the sequence that I captured.
It would be interesting to see how other styles of Ip Man Wing Chun would use their principles to explain what Ip Man showed in his pictures and videos. Or would they fail to explain it or just explain it partially and try to sweep everything else under the carpet by conveniently saying “oh, we are different” even though they claim lineage from Ip Man.
