Today Vol 2 of TaijiKinesis on how to learn the Taijiquan form is out.
In Vol 1 the key focus was on examining our objective of wanting to learn a combat type of Taijiquan by analysing what is available out there. I am not sure if readers are aware that I was also indirectly teaching them about how to analyse their learning of Taiji because its my opinion that we can make good progress only if we truly understand what it is that we are doing.
At the end of Vol 1 I offered some principles on form learning and push hands that I penned. I didn’t really go into any explanation so some readers may wonder about their significance.
Well, in Vol 2 readers will be able to see the relevance as reference is made in Vol 2 to those principles in Vol 1.
The stuff that is in Vol 1 and Vol 2 and their importance will be brought up in Vol 3 when I go into the training of push hands and how it is a useful tool to teach us about various aspects such as sensitivity, handling of pressure and resistance, finding the right position, how to issue force on a moving target, etc.
