Took this video at the end of a practice session. After working through various stuff this part is where we throw everything in and have a free go at it.
The resistance level used is higher than when we work things through. While its not immediately obvious there is a lot of pressure being used so if a hand slips and loses contact the other party would not hesitate to shoot through and hit.
We don’t always hit and when we do its because the gap is too big to ignore and the hit is to tell us to close it up.
For my friend Z of SA the movement at 2:57 to 2:58 is for you. You know what this technique is. I had to quickly stop the subsequent follow up techniques when I saw my student losing his balance and falling backwards as I feared that his head may hit the corner of the wall. You know our mutual stuff doesn’t look that great but in application its really sweet and this is an example of one of those moments.
