Man, I cannot believe it!!!!
Oh, hello again. Its Mu Shin.
Like I said I cannot believe it, DANG!
What can’t I believe?
I can’t believe I bloody missed the dart board with my darts. Thought with my Chi Gong and all I should have no problem hitting bull’s eye.
I guess the sad reality is that if I am tipsy I will miss though with training and all I thought I am immune to it. Reality sucks!
I know, I know, I hate reality sometimes but that’s life. Just this week I was telling my student reality is getting all cosy with high level training that fails when one is pushed by a strong opponent in push hands and gets shoved all over the place.
I know when this happens training seems to suck. This is why it is better for us to confront reality during training rather than be unprepared to face it.
Confronting reality means we have to train to deal with strong and fast pressure in class. Get shoved about, get pushed back. Its OK. Fall down, get up and learn to deal with it. This is how we progress.
We can learn to deal with pressure. Just don’t give up. Don’t dream either of feats that are unrealistic, like moving someone without touch.
This no touch thing is bullshit. There, the beer made me said it.
As long as we keep our head level we won’t get caught up in this type of fantasy. Let’s just keep to solid training sans the bullshit.
Remember No Beer, No Zen. Cheers!
